Business concept based on work experiences

We, the founders of Jiricom AB, are Jimmy Thörnlöf and Rickard Flodin. Our business concept is based on previous work experiences with managing fleets. For many companies and businesses administrating fleets is a huge challenge. The administration can be divided into to parts; vehicle usage and management. 

Vehicle usage

Recurring questions for many businesses are: Where is the vehicle right now? Who is using it? How frequently does customer A get visits and for how long did the visit last on location B? In addition every trip has to be logged according to the law.

Vehicle management

For many businesses the fleet is one of the biggest business expenses. It often requires a large investment initially and running costs for a longer period. During the life cycle of the vehicle it needs refueling, service, inspections, repairing, upkeep, tire changes and finally to be sold.

Internet of things

To give our customers better control over their fleet and to make things more simple and effective we realized that we had to connect the vehicle to the internet (Internet of things). With the help of a used reflow oven we made our first circuit board, and with a 3D printer some plastic details, and with that we started building our first prototype of our fully automatic log book (Thank you to Almi in Jönköping for your contribution). 

Millions of travels

Feedback from our test group was very positive and we decided to found the IoT company Jiricom AB in the spring of 2015. Right after we got our first “real” customer (Thank you to David and Jonas for becoming our first customer) and in the end of 2016 we had won our first official contract. Since then our customer base has grown and today we have thousands of electronic log books all over Sweden and millions of travels have been logged automatically with the help of our fully automatic log book. 

Everything is developed by us

Our greatest strengths are technical competence and knowledge. We have developed it all on our own. Our au2 [au:to] products and our fleet management is developed by us based on the customer’s wishes. We control the production of our products. We take care of all the deliveries and test every system before delivery. We are the ones answering your questions and solving your challenges.

Exciting times ahead of us

What is our next step? We have exiting times ahead of us. Together with our fantastic team we’re going to continue developing and making our fully automatic log book smarter and better for you and our customers. We have several big news launching soon, so keep a lookout.
